This unsold NBC TV pilot is a generally lively western that finds Butch Parker (Rogers) going from easy-going cowboy to bank robber alongside his best friend, gunslinger Harry "Sundance Kid" Longabaugh (Browning). Both become part of Mike Cassidy's (Biehn) "Wild Bunch" gang, targeting banks that are controlled by greedy railroad barons. The two men are also equally attached to schoolteacher Etta Place (Lefevre). When Pinkerton agent Durango (Gibbons) kills Cassidy, Butch takes his last name out of respect and vows vengeance.
